BCDC SLATE OF CANDIDATES FOR THE DEMOCRATIC STATE COMMITTEE
The Democratic State Committee is the governing body of the Pennsylvania Democratic Party and responsible for directing and promoting the guiding principles and core values of the party. They perform party business, in addition to coordinating strategies to elect Democrats up and down the ballot across the Commonwealth.
These 13 individuals from across Bucks County are the endorsed candidates running to serve on the Democratic State Committee. Candidates for these positions will appear on the May primary ballot and are up for election. These State Committee members serve for four years and represent Bucks County Democrats to the PA Democratic Party.

Eleanor Breslin: Tinicum Township
Eleanor Breslin is currently serving as Chair of the Tinicum Township Board of Supervisors and Municipal Chair of the Tinicum Bridgeton Democrats. She has spent years supporting campaigns in Bucks County and is volunteering with voter outreach organizations for the 2026 midterms.

Ijaz Chaudry: Bensalem Township
Ijaz Chaudry is a current State Committee member who focuses his work on representing underrepresented people within the Democratic Party. He is a local business owner and has been an active member of the New Americans Caucus.

Dr. Umar Farooq: Bensalem Township
Dr. Umar Farooq is a current State Committee member who serves as Chair of the New Americans Caucus. He is a physician and community leader who has supported multiple local and state campaigns in Bucks County.

Leann Hart: Bensalem Township
Leann Hart is a member of the Bensalem School Board and a local committee person, and she serves as the 1st Deputy Prothonotary of Bucks County. She has managed and worked on many elections in Bucks County and has been active with the Bensalem Democrats for many years.

Marlene Katz: Upper Makefield Township
Marlene Katz is a former State Committee member and community advocate who has worked with the Peace Center, Moms Demand Action, and the New Pennsylvania Project. She is also a Clergy member as an Ordained Interfaith Minister.

John Lewis: Lower Makefield Township
John Lewis currently serves as Vice Chair of the Lower Makefield Township Board of Supervisors; in 2015, he was the first Democrat elected as a Lower Makefield Supervisor in 8 years.

Jess Malobisky: Plumstead Township
Jess Malobisky is a Bucks County native who most recently worked on Sheriff Danny Ceisler’s campaign as his Deputy Campaign Manager and has volunteered with local organizations that serve immigrant communities.

Connor O'Hanlon: Doylestown Borough
Connor O’Hanlon is a current State Committee member and serves on the Doylestown Borough Council. He is a member of four State Committee caucases and has been actively involved with the Doylestown Democrats.

Nastasha Raisley: Falls Township
Nastasha Raisley is the current Chair of the Bucks County Young Democrats and a local committee person. She has been active in developing youth voter engagement across the county and has supported local campaigns.

Paul Roden: Lower Makefield Township
Paul Roden is a current State Committee member and local committee person who is active with the Lower Makefield-Yardley Democrats. He has served on the bylaws and voter outreach committees, as well as the Executive Board of State Committee.

Emily Smith: East Rockhill Township
Emily Smith is an active member of the Pennridge Democrats and local committee person who has worked on the management team of the successful 2023 and 2025 Pennridge School Board campaigns. She helped the Pennridge School Board gain their 8-1 Democratic majority.

Liz Warren: Newtown Borough
Liz Warren is a former committee person who has been active in the Newtown Democrats for over 20 years. She has worked on campaigns that flipped Newtown Township and Borough, as well as Council Rock’s school board, from red to blue.

Steve Wojciechowski: Warminster Township
Steve Wojciechowski is a current State Committee member and local committee person, and has served as treasurer for various campaigns. He has held elected and appointed positions in Warminster Township, and is a member of the State Committee’s bylaws and voter outreach
committees.
